The following chart alphabetically lists all system messages displayed on the LCD
screen. The cause of the message, and the action(s) to be taken are also shown.
The operator should become thoroughly familiar with this information before using the
oximeter for patient monitoring.
MESSAGE POSSIBLE CAUSE(S) RECOMMENDATION
AMBIENT LIGHT Too much light on Remove or reduce lighting.

LOW SIGNAL IQ Low signal quality. Ensure proper sensor application. Move
sensor to a better perfused site. Refer to
Section 4, Signal IQ.
